Garage Studios

We are the biggest studio and training space in the Brighton area, conveniently located in the heart of the North Laine. Offering a fully professional set up, a massive shootable space with a seven meter infinity cove and maximum head height of six meters.

We have a make up and changing area, toilet and basic kitchen facilities. As well as, two off road parking spaces. We have more than enough space to accommodate your needs. The studios have full access three meter high sliding door and enough space to drive vans in.

You can hire the whole space with its seven meter infinity cove. Coloramas and stands are available as well as Bowens Gemini 500w professional studio lights.

Our prices are:

Studio Hire

Full day (8 Hours) 9am – 5pm or 10am – 6pm – £225
Half day (4 Hours) – £135
Per Hour (Min hire 2 Hours) – £45
Out of hours / weekends (before 9am & after 6pm) plus 20%

Lighting Equipment

2 head kit lighting hire, (1 softbox 1 meter wide – 1 Umbrella, 1 Sync cable, 2 stands, 2 power leads, 2 heads, 2 reflectors) £45 for a 4 hour half day, £90 for standard 8 hours day hire. 24 hours is £180.

4 head kit lighting hire, (1 softbox 1 meter wide – 2 Umbrella, 1 Sync cable, 4 stands, 4 power leads, 4 heads, 2 reflectors) £75 for a 4 hour half day, £150 for 8 hours hire, £300 for a 24 hour period.

We recommend using a trigger device such as a Pocket Wizard, but supply a Standard sync cable.

Lighting Equipment taken on location needs a security deposit left as either a blank cheque or a credit card. Please note, all Lighting Equipment must be stored locked and inside overnight.

Colouramas are charged at £10 per meter used, minimum charge of £60 and come in either 1.35 meters wide or 2.72 meters wide. We hold white and dark grey in stock, but any other colour will have to be ordered in advanced.

We would need to take a deposit for the hire and would need 50% of the hire charge paid in advance to secure the booking.

We are more than happy to work with students, and can accommodate college groups, and also talk about our work if you require this.

Staff

• Lighting Technician – £30 per hour.

The Lighting Technician, will light your set / subject for you. They will manage all aspects of the lighting set-up and will be responsible for getting the lighting just right for you.

• Studio Assistant / Runner – £15 per hour.

Available to you, for all your shooting needs, from helping move equipment to setting up the lights where you say, as well as general running duties.
