Introducing the Team at Garage Studios
July 8, 2010
A lot of people often get a bit confused by what Garage Studios is- a studio to hire, a place for workshops, a creative space, a collective of Photographers….. the list goes on… so we will be spending a few blog posts explaining different areas of the business but hopefully in an interesting way.
So these are the founders of Garage Studios- Kev (the one in the glasses) and Matt (the one in the glasses too) who threw around the idea of starting a studio about 3 years ago. It took about a year of running back into the idea, and then a while to find the right person to manage the business, but finally almost 2 years ago Garage Studios was born. We always had in mind that we had to have the biggest Studio and Training Centre in Brighton, as we want Garage to be a centrepoint for photography in this city- and after 2 years things couldn’t be going better- hence the need to introduce you to the newest team members and tutors.
We were both on the same Architecture course years ago at Brighton Uni and apart from a few breaks here and there have worked on projects together ever since- from Portrait work, to Source Covers to huge bit set pieces and productions.
So this is us, soon we will fill you in a little about the areas we are interested in as personal projects, our own work, collective work etc- and we will also be introducing you all to the rest of the team, starting with the wundergirl that is Natasha Alipour-Faridani. We will also tell you a little bit more about what we offer and how our own work may help you decide on a course, commission or just whether to use our business.
But mainly we just want to say after 2 years its good to still be here- and thanks to everyone that has walked through our doors or used our services, helped paint and build and all the morale boosting pints we have been bought (these have been very scant people, very scant) so now if you see us out you know to buy us both a Kronenburg….

You should have worn blingkinis for these shots.
Now I am struggling to think of what to wear for my headshot.
Great start of a series.
