Over the last few years the popularity of Holga & Diana Cameras has soared. The cult plastic-fantastic cameras have become popular with trendy shops, and all sorts of non-photographic companies are selling them. With the rise of complicated digital cameras, people are looking for a simpler and easier shooting experience.
Our Holga & Diana camera workshop will help you to understand and use your Holga or Diana camera to its full potential, allowing you to take the photographs you want.
The first half of the workshop is based at Garage Studios , and the second a photowalk around Brighton, allowing you guided practice to use experiment with all the various techniques you have learnt.
Outline of the course:
• A short history of your camera
• Understanding your camera and how it works
• How to load film properly
• Photographic techniques for Holga & Dianas
• 120 film, different types & recommendations
• Advice & common mistakes when developing
• A guided “photowalk” around Brighton
For the course you will need:
A Holga or Diana camera
A notebook & pen
No prior photography experience needed
