Fashion Photography Editorial course.
The Fashion Photography Editorial course is 2 Day practical course with models and all equipment provided and is held on location, not in a studio.
There are currently no dates set for the next course but please email us for more information or to find out about specific dates.
This Fashion Editorial course is run by photographer Kevin Mason and is aimed at those that want to shoot, or improve how they shoot, fashion. During the course you will work with a full team; stylist, model, make-up artist etc. and these are included in the price. It is aimed at film or digital users and is for those with a real love of fashion and a decent grasp of fashion photographers work.
You will work on shooting a full editorial story. Kevin will only be able to take a very small number of people on each session as we will have a full team working with you. The course will also look at editing and post work though this will be available as a separate day; so if you just want to shoot, you only need book Day 1. There are some examples of editorial on location below….
The aim of this course is to illustrate how to shoot a full fashion story- aiming at the equivalent of an 6-8 page spread. With the help of Kevin Mason and assistant Natasha Alipour-Faridani you will be guided through shot choices, framing and composition as well as using a mixture of natural and flash lighting techniques.
We will also be working with the excellent stylists from Ophelia Fancy, who have worked on almost all of Kevin’s fashion shoots both commissioned and for Gang Up Magazine. We will work on a range of images with numerous outfit changes to ensure a full editorial. Please see some of the thumbnails below.
You can see images from Students on previous course here…
The cost for the 2 day course is £550 with all equipment, except camera/film will be provided, and we have lined up some real expert tutors, with industry experience, and some great models.
